Mount Tarrengower Lookout
Head to the top of Mount Tarrengower in Maldon and check out the view from the town's iconic lookout tower The tower is open from 8am-5pm daily, and there's also a cafe on site selling sandwiches and hot beverages. The lookout provides an amazing view of Maldon and the surrounding countryside. There is a lookout direction board on the tower pointing out the various landmarks in the area: Mount Alexander, Cairn Curran Reservoir, Mount Franklin and Mount Macedon.
Mount Tarrengower Hill Climb
Each year Innes Motors in Bendigo sponsors the Mount Tarrengower Hill Climb, a race to the summit featuring classic historical race vehicles. The race covers approximately 1500m where competitors must grapple with ageing, narrow roads as they ascend to the the top. The Hill Climb is one of the longest running motorsport events in Australia.
